We live in a society obsessed with attaining and idolizing thinness, which means that when our own bodies don’t measure up, we become dissatisfied, and take measures to repent for our “dieting faux pas.”
These restricting eating patterns quickly shift into disordered eating behaviors which leave us feeling guilty, ashamed, and ultimately powerless.
But it doesn’t have to be that way.
Take a moment to think about your FAVORITE food.
What would happen if you were to allow yourself to eat that food, when you craved it, without associating negative, shameful, guilty feelings with it?
What if you could trust yourself with food again?
