Today I am thankful for making it through the first day of virtual schooling for this school year-
There were a lot of things to be thankful for with this new schooling system that is required to occur for now.. There definitely was a lot more interaction between teachers and students plus there definitely was a lot of work put into this because you can tell. Please understand that the teachers did an amazing job with just a matter of weeks to come up with the spring virtual schooling program.... and compared to today with a few months of planning.. there is a difference... Don't get me wrong .. there were hurdles that needed to be jumped today from the internet going out in the last hour or two of school along with meltdowns due to the IPad not holding a charge or locating a link or an app not working.. but I am thankful that we were able to work as a team to lessen the stress and make every hurdle jump with no tears... truly no tears.. no promises for another day but today we got through it.... I am also very thankful for our positive attitudes, willingness to be flexible and supporting one another... even when tension were high and frustrations could have boiled over... we maintain minimal fall out... and I am proud of our little family unit... I am thankful we are doing this together... Tomorrow is another day with different hurdles but we got this... even through things can be crazy and trying sometimes...

![]() Today I am thankful for being able to enjoy summer vacation .. Don't get me wrong it wasn't summer vacation in the sense of traveling and doing our normal activities. And you know what ... I am okay with that.. Actually I am more than okay with that.... See it's my child's summer vacation from school, something I haven't been able to be home for since she turned 2 years old. I have been working for over 7 years to make sure my family has been supported financially and has had medical insurance. I haven't minded because it was an honor to do it and at the same time I missed so much as a working mom... I did my best to be present as much as possible. I know most people what their lives to go back to "normal" but I am enjoying the small moments to make memories, bond with my family and learn about who we are as a unit along with who I am...even through I am working from home currently... So today was a beautiful day with lots of sunshine and cooler enjoyable weather... even through it was the last day of summer vacation from school.. it was still a blessing because I have enjoyed every moment no matter if it was good or not so good... Today, I am thankful for Saturdays at home with nothing planned...
I know that we have had a lot of that lately and may have a lot more of it.. but right now it's coming in handy for me to study for my CNS Exam... I have 3 months and a week until the exam so to have this time free without anything going on will be beneficial.. It's also healing too... time to replenish and rejuvenate...especially with the fact that our child will be starting school on Monday virtually along with dance classes, girl scout meetings, cello lessons etc... so having more weekends where things are calm, quiet and chill like today will be greatly beneficial for all of us. I am hoping to keep Saturdays and definitely Sundays free from to many activities until after my CNS Exam... it's the small and simple things in life that make a difference. And this is what can make a difference for me.. along with my family.. being on the go all the time isn't helpful for stress and our health... it's nice to slow down and just be in the present moment.. So today I am thankful for being able to slow down and study... while we all rested and relaxed in our own unique ways.... ![]() Today, I am thankful for another day... another week... and for most of this weeks to-do list done.... It's Friday... it's a great feeling when you have had a long, successful week come to an end. This week I was able to complete the majority of my tasks on my list of to-dos from things at my full time day job to my part time job to my private practice to family tasks etc... I even got my reading done along with the discussion board for my online class in Ayurveda Wellness finish and posted.... I am slightly behind in my CNS Exam Studying but with a wide open weekend... I should be able to complete week 1 study plan... and possibly start on week 2... Yes, I am a list person...so to be able to get things done and checked off my lists is a wonderful feeling.. So today I am thankful for being productive... and getting some things done... ![]() Today, I am thankful for the honored of being apart of my daughter's Girl Scout Troop.. This troop as been a blessing to be apart of since it started almost 4 years ago... My daughter has been a Daisy for 2 years and she's currently completing her last year as a Brownie which is also a 2 year program. She will be bridging to the 1st year as a Junior soon.. I am completely amazed by the growth and changes this troop as seen. There have been some girls that have come and gone -- moved away or just decided not to do the Girl Scout journey anymore while at the same time we have added new girls along the way too. It is a blessing to be able to meet and learn from these amazing young ladies no matter if it's a short period of time or a long period of time... I am thankful that I am able to be a small part of their journey and get to help them just a little bit into the amazing young ladies that they are... It's amazing what a wonderful community and troop this is..I am thankful for this time not only to do something fun with my daughter but also with this wonderful troop. |
