"Now I Am Aware" Exercise....by Linda Bark PhD RN MCC- The wisdom of the Whole
Sit, lie or stand in a comfortable position. Close your eyes and take a couple deep breaths. Then complete the following sentence:
Now I am aware....
These are how that sentence could be finished at the present moment:
Now I Am Aware..... of the clock ticking in my office.
Now I Am Aware.....of a car driving by.
Now I Am Aware.....of an airplane flying
Now I Am Aware.....of a dull pain in my right leg.
Now I Am Aware.....of the need to straighten my back
Now I Am Aware.....of the dryness of lips
Now I Am Aware.....of the sun streaming in my window.
By doing this exercise, I am brought into the present instant.
