Too often, we jump to self-criticism when we look at ourselves in the mirror. Thoughts like, “look at these wrinkles,” “I’m so fat,” and “how can I fix this” quickly crop up without us even realizing it. These are patterns of negative self-talk, and they add up over the decades, damaging our self-esteem and outlook on life.
Next time you look in the mirror, pause your negative thoughts and list off one positive thing that you see. Start with just one, and build up from there!
