Generally speaking, we often forget to drink enough water or allow ourselves access to fresh water regularly. Unfortunately, this dehydration can make us move slower, feel less energized, and just gets in the way of allowing our bodies to function as they need to.
Challenge yourself to drink a glass of water as soon as you wake up, like while your coffee is brewing, to jumpstart your body after it’s been fasting from liquids all night. Then, throughout the day, keep freshwater within reach. This might mean investing in a pretty water bottle that you’re proud to sport on your desk and walk around with all day.
If plain water doesn’t feel exciting enough, try adding lemon juice, cucumber slices, fresh aloe vera juice, fresh mint, or any combination of citrus, berries, and herbs. Alternatively, you might try brewing some weak tea to sip on throughout the day for a little added flavor.
