....
A Little More About Me & My Approach... Like many people, I’ve walked a winding and ongoing path with mental health — and I continue to learn about my own experiences with anxiety, depression, and complex trauma. Along the way, I’ve also been exploring my neurodivergence, including traits of ADHD, dyslexia, and autism, with curiosity, compassion, and care rather than judgment.
From an early age, my relationship with my body and food was shaped by struggle. By eight, weight became a focus. In my teens, disordered eating emerged alongside a deep sense of unworthiness tied to how I looked and how I felt in my body. I’ve also witnessed loved ones navigate addiction, which further shaped my understanding of how deeply mental health, nourishment, and connection are intertwined.
I know what it’s like to live with fatigue, body aches, and the constant inner tug-of-war around food, self-image, and guilt. And while healing hasn’t been linear or perfect, I’ve learned that meaningful change is possible — not through rigid rules or fixing oneself, but through understanding, support, and compassion.
These lived experiences, alongside my clinical training and research background, have shaped the way I approach health and nutrition today. I believe healing is personal, non-linear, and deeply individual — and that it doesn’t need to follow the expectations of diet culture or one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, it can honor nervous systems, neurodiversity, lived history, and the whole person.
In my work with clients, interns, and students, I prioritize curiosity over judgment, collaboration over compliance, and nourishment over restriction. Whether I’m providing clinical care, mentoring CNS interns, teaching, or contributing to research, my goal is the same: to translate nutrition science into practical, ethical, and human-centered care that people can actually use in their lives.
This journey led me to reclaim my own sense of well-being and to support others in doing the same. I’m here to walk alongside you as you rebuild trust with food and your body, deepen self-understanding, and find more ease and joy in your daily life.
You don’t have to feel exhausted, hungry, or alone in this process. There are many ways to support your body and mind — and you deserve care that meets you where you are.

Justice & Recovery Advocates: June 2020 to July 2023- Teaching nutrition and mindfulness classes in recovery houses and rehab centers. Giving back to the community is something I feel very strongly about, especially as it relates to the opioid epidemic and those returning to society after incarceration. Hoping one day there will be a stronger, whole-person care approach for those in recovery that includes nutrition.
“"Linnette provided a safe, open environment where profound awareness and personal growth resulted from our sessions. She supported me and encouraged me throughout my journey, allowing me to overcome various obstacles that have been standing in my way. Learned a few things about myself that I hadn't realized were there and/or needed addressing. Truly enjoyed our time and journey that occurred.”
